The watches are not only appealing due to their unique design, but also because of the choice of high-quality components such as sapphire crystal, genuine leather and 316L steel. Values such as nostalgia, timeless elegance and boundless dynamics are conveyed to you.
Julien de Bourg only sells watches with a mechanical movement. These movements do not have a battery, but are charged by moving the watch or winding the crown. As soon as the watch is subject to a light movement, it starts to tick. This movement saves your watch’s energy. However, the watch will stop if you do not wear it for a few days. This is not a defect, but the characteristic of a mechanical watch. As soon as the watch is set back in motion when worn again, you only have to adjust the time by pulling out the crown. If you put on your working watch in the morning and it stops at some point during the day, the following causes could have occurred. It should be emphasized that these causes are mainly caused by strong shocks and in this case are not covered by the warranty due to improper handling of the product:
A screw has loosened and blocked the movement. This may sound surprising, but it does occur. Screws can loosen due to vibrations. Therefore, mechanical watches should not be worn in sports such as golf, mountain biking, squash, badminton or tennis – to name just a few examples. However, loosened screws can be tightened by a specialist.
The mainspring is suddenly broken. Springs usually crack when exposed to excessive tensioning pressure. With our watches, a special mechanism ensures that the winding spring is not overstretched by further movements of the flywheel. In this case, it must be checked whether the following wheels, such as the rotor axis, have not been damaged. If other gears have been damaged by breaking the spring, a repair may exceed the replacement value of the watch.
The automatic winding is defective. One of the main reasons for a defective winding is that the rotor axis breaks due to a violent impact. Since other causes can also lead to this defect, the costs for a repair depend heavily on the cause. Please always contact our customer service department to check if the damage is covered by the warranty. We will contact you as soon as possible to find a solution.
Julien de Bourg uses solely mechanical watch movements which, due to the high complexity of their construction, react more intensively to environmental influences such as air pressure, temperature and humidity and can therefore exhibit an inaccuracy of approximately +/- 30 seconds per day.
It defines the time remaining until the spring slackens. The spring is the component of your mechanical watch, whose winding – whether by hand winding or by your arm’s movement – makes the fascination of displaying the time at the wrist even possible.
All our models are waterproof up to 5 ATM. This means that you have no restrictions in your everyday life when wearing the watches. You can shower with it or wash your hands. However, the watch’s leather strap should not get wet, as it is a natural product and staining may occur.
The Julien de Bourg leather straps are made of genuine leather. Therefore, quality can suffer from factors such as sweat, dirt and humidity. You can use a suitable leather care product to protect your favorite watch. Repeatedly putting on and taking off the watch can reveal normal signs of wear and tear on the leather, this is not a quality defect but a natural trace of usage.
Please be aware that especially colored leather straps may loose their color during usage (e.g. sun, water, soap etc.) since they’ve been artificially colored.

No. To be able to deliver your watch as quickly as possible, our ordering and shipping process is automated. However, you can change your delivery address directly at our shipping partner DHL after receiving the shipping confirmation, so that you can also receive your watch comfortably at your workplace.

Our order confirmations are created in the address format of Switzerland, where the house number comes after the street name. In some countries (France, Great Britain, USA and Japan) the house number is placed in front of the street name.
Bank transfer/Advanced payment After your order has been successfully received, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. In this confirmation you will find the amount to be transferred and our bank details. Please indicate the order number when you pay, so that the payment can be assigned to your order. PayPal To pay with PayPal you need to be registered with a free PayPal account. Should you decide to pay your watch via PayPal, you will be passed on to PayPal and have to log in with your personal login data. After you have paid via PayPal we will receive a confirmation and ship your watch immediately.
Credit Card Julien de Bourg also accepts credit cards. Our payment provider is SIX Financial Services and enables you to use a convenient and secure payment process directly in our checkout process. Your credit card account will be debited upon completion of the order. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and PostFinance (Switzerland).
Purchase by Invoice Customers from Switzerland can order our products by invoice. The company Byjuno from Switzerland handles the purchase by invoice for us and carries out a credit check on the basis of the data entered during the check-out. After the goods have been handed over to our shipping partner DHL, you will receive a shipping confirmation by e-mail. In this confirmation you will find a tracking number with which you can check the status of your order at any time.
Please contact our customer service within 24 hours of receipt and keep the packaging. The Customer Service will contact our shipping partner DHL to initiate an investigation. Please note that this can take up to 30 days. If this inconvenience has been caused by our shipping partner, Julien de Bourg will of course either reimburse you the amount or send you the ordered item again.

Please enclose an overview of the order information (printed order confirmation, invoice or packing slip as well as the filled out declaration of cancellation) so that we know who is returning the watch. If the watch is damaged on receipt, please contact the customer service.
We will refund the purchase amount within 14 days after receipt of the declaration of cancellation, as well as receiving the watch in its original condition.
Please note that the bracelets are excluded from revocation.
No. Our guidelines require that the watch must be returned in the green wooden box, but not necessarily in the box in which you received it. Please make sure that the wooden box is returned packed in such a way that it will not be damaged.
In case of a warranty service, we will of course cover the costs for the return. If you decide against the watch for other reasons, you have to pay the return shipping fees.
